After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Quick chance to have a meet - Sunshine coast

edited November 2011 in Social
Have a job at Buderim  ON TUESDAY next week in the morning and then a second at Noosa ..

So if any one is able to meet, say after 1pm or 2pm... (Assuming all goes OK)

I am happy to try and catch up with any of those that have the feeling (well deserved, mind you) of being left out...

Post here or PM me if there is any thing I might need to bring..

  • Bugger, going to a picnic tomorrow PM with the kids!  Sorry.  Would love to meet up, it has been ages since I've had a good yarn. Maybe next time?  If you need a coffee in Noosa, try Clandestino Roasters in Belmondos. PS Pity too I could have got you to look at my fridge!
  • Hehe.  Much better.  Got nothing else planned.  See you Tuesday!
  • Buderim's pretty good for me. Noosa might be a little far on a workday (particularly when I'm driving 1100ks tomorrow and Monday!).
  • Depends.  I will get back to you.  Might beable to do buderim,  but will need a baby sitter. :)
  • Still up for a meet tomorrow?  I don't know Budrim so I'm happy to follow the crowd.  AM, your happy to pop in on the drive past to see your work and the Lusso first hand. :)
  • Hi guys, I only just got in from Syd late last night. Two days of driving and I'm a wreck and massively behind on my work. How about you meet at a location convenient to Lacehim and let me know as well. If I can make it I'll be there with bells on. Otherwise I'll try to catch you both soon. I need to go to Bris in a week or two to get the pressure gauge sorted and could grab you then, AM.
  • We could do Pioneer at Yandina?  At least that's motorway driving for you Kelsey (no traffic lights), and they are open to 3.45pm now too. I got pickup duties at 2.30, that's the only thing I have to be here for :)
  • Lacehim, Pioneer could work or Veneziano in Cotton Tree - I haven't been there yet. (if I get the car back from the BH in time!)
  • I should have the car back shortly and be over there by about 12:30ish.
  • Yes, really nice to chat in person for a change. As to the coffee..... well.... when I ran out of beans back in the PBE (Pre Bezzera Era) I tried some Mambo beans from a local cafe who had previously stocked Veneziano. I didn't have a great result and blamed the machine. Apparently Caffeine Culture now have their own roastery and Mambo beans are the result. AM wasn't impressed with his milky coffee and I have to say my Single Origin espresso lacked body and complexity. I wouldn't make a special trip to drink it, put it that way.
  • It was good to talk and meet Kelsey.  Agree about mambo beans, but it wasn't the worst coffee I've had, the milk and temp was good, but I was too busy talking to notice what beans they were using today.  The barista said they swapped over about 8 months ago to mambo from V's branding and beans.  The long black wasn't too bad either, no worse than I make myself at home!  At least I left with all my taste buds still intact. :)  I will have to take a portafilter to your cafe in Buderim next time and see if I get the same service ;)
