After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
vanilla flavoured coffee?
Ok I went somewhere today which roasted on site and the coffee was ok
But overwhelmingly I could detect vanilla essence flavours in the coffee - and I mean vanilla essence as in vanilla syrup or something similar - definitely not vanilla bean pod flavour, which would probably be quite acceptable, if they were balanced with other flavours
I'm a bit of a sugar nazi, and I may be way outta line here - but I really felt that something unpleasant had been added to the mix - for reasons that escape me
am I out on a limb here?
has anyone else had a similar experience?
I thought it might be something to do with the milk, but unless the milk had been mixed with some cheap soy product, I dont see how it could happen?
besides, I ordered a second coffee to test my theory, and the results were the same - so I guess that most likely rules out the cross contamination of the milk theory - and is a plus in terms of constancy of product
I finished both coffees (3/4 lattes) so they couldn't have been that bad
bad nor is it an experience that I am clambering for
ideas anybody?
