After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Is coles ripping off the public for Millions?

Is has become very regular that about ever 3rd or fourth time we shop there is an overcharge

never an undercharge, so that means 25-33% of the time they are skimming the public

My wife being an economist always checks the receipt and goes back for a refund.

they used to refund the mistake and give you the item free, now they don't.

So they have nothing to loose and millions to gain.

They must work the numbers, how many people check their receipts so carefully? some of the mistakes are not so easy to spot either.

single guys and old people would be soft targets.

    The one I find the worst is our IGA. Mislabelings everywhere, and the staff blatantly admit it, and just key in whatever figure you tell them (they don't even check, because it's so prevalent). I seem to find it every time I buy two or three items. Can't imagine how bad it is on a whole shop where I can't remember all the prices. It actually stops me going there, to a point.

    My pet hate is Bunnings... Before the demise of Hardwarehouse I used to get REAL Trade discounts... Like up to 40% off paint... And other high margin lines... Before the dust settled from Hardwarehouse collapse ALL the prices went up and ALL the discounts went down.... Now I can buy assorted hardware and paint say $400.00 dollars worth and at the till I might be lucky to see $2.34 as a total trade discount.... Ain't that a slap in the face... I try never to shop at Bunnings- but sometimes the convenience of 'one-stop' lures me back... And I haven't mentioned the obvious dropping of many quality lines for super-cheap imported crap sold at very high margins... And all the while the sheep get lured to the slaughter believing lowest prices are just the beginning.... End rant.

    As a tradesman with a bunnies trade card I get SFA discount on everything except plumbing supplies. Work that one out. A chippy gets no discount on timber, paint, tools or hardware but on plumbing supplies I get 45% off :mad: If I was a builder with a account I could get much better discounts as you deal with a rep. Their attitude is "what price do we have to beat

    I'm with ya OG. I use them as little as possible and mostly its only to pick something up at 7 pm for the next day or if i'm too far away from my regular builders hardware.

    With bun-heads I get the highest discount possible, same as the big guys because I new the rep for many years and he hooked me up. I go way back, about 5 different names they used to have I don't like going there and I don't like calling either.

    My understanding of the bunnies (credit) trade account is min. Spend of $10k per month to qualify... I can get a credit account with bunnies because I am a member of a builders buying co-op... (Trade Alliance) but I would rather stab myself in the eye with a sharp stick than support bunnies... Besides using the co-op members I get better prices and job referrals when Mrs Plod comes in asking for a referral... Can't say I ever got a job referral from bunnies.... :chuckle...
