After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Where do you get your greens from

  • I've been out on a hunt for green beans these days and here's a list of places you could buy some greens (in Melbourne): - Coffeesnobs (is rather obvious) - Cottle on Coventry (http://cottlecoffee.com.au/) - I've had the opportunity to meet Richard Cottle and it was a delightful experience. Their prices of greens however are not advertised. - The Coffee Company (http://www.coffeecompany.com.au/) I really wish Jeff would sell more greens and allow pickups. =) At most times, the postage itself costs half the price of the greens, if not more. That's my issue ordering online from Coffeesnobs and other places. Coffeesnobs does allow pickups but they're just too far for me to drive to.

Try Beangreen Eric, free shipping on orders over $50, prices very competitive, and the quality is equally as good as other suppliers. :)
  • I know it's off topic somewhat but how coincidental - I work only a 10min walk away from Cottle on Coventry here in Sth Melb and a work colleague who loves their coffee only yesterday brought me back from his lunch walk, 250g of their Espresso Supremo (?) roasted so I can see for myself...although no roast date on the packaging  ::) - fingers crossed it's fresh at least
  • +1 for beangreen brendan always has a lovely stock of greens that causes me headaches when trying to decide what to add to my cart :(
  • Very happy to have found Beangreen. (Thanks, Brett) I have just made 5 doubles of Monsooned Malabar from Beangreen with my "new" Caravel. I had 3 of them. I swear that they would have to be the most godly of shots that I have tried to date....
  • Awesome Paolo! Brendan really looks after us Cremas!

Brilliant!  My pleasure mate  :thumb: It's a slippery slope isn't it!  One moment you are pinching the kids popcorn maker, then the wife's bread maker, then the Turbo oven... where will it end?  I even toyed with the idea of converting the cement mixer into a mega-roaster!  No Jet engines for sale on eBay to power it sadly
  • Hi,I have recently made my first order frm Ministry Grounds.Delivery was made and satchel opened and I had greens everywhere.Made contact with Neil and his reaction was to replace order. After much thought I stressed that my loss did not allow me to accept his offer and 1kilo would cover my loss.10 minutes into first roast of the Bolivia Vincente Paye another delivery arrived ,replacement order plus sample bag of roasted ,same bean ,with a note enjoy this coffee while your roast is resting. I could not let this go unrecognized and so I share with you this unique experience. My confirmation to Neil was my continued support of Ministry Grounds Coffee
  • Great to hear BC!  Thank you for sharing and please let us know how the roast turns out!
  • BrettH , have finished both roasts and must report Ministry Grounds roast of the Vincente Paye to be the best to give out the flavour best
  • Good to know BC.  Isn't it great how well our sponsors know their product!  Also, what a great experience to receive a roast profile that works for you model and experiment off!
  • Had a quiet look at my stash and decided to use some of the 100plus kilos before I repurchase .
  • I have buy green-beans form https://I promise to read the site rules and be a good forum member dot >:/ Mate, we can google ya favorite company so just let us know the name and don't post links to commercial sites.  Especially when the ones who sponsor this site are far, far better!
