After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

I was just wondering how "the Industry" feels about The Gourmet Coffee Institute training. I am currently thinking about undergoing courses with them and wonder whether the certificates are worth the paper they are printed on.??

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

    Where do u live Conan? I went to Danes in Sydney and it was very good. The whole set up is geared for the best training poss.

    The other day this girl came to my shop and asked me for work,i asked her what sort of exp she had and she told me that she was doing a barista course at tafe and she needed 30 hours work experience to do the second phase of the course,i asked her how much the course cost her and she said $125 for the first day (3) hours and $200+ plus for the second half and she has to do 30 hours work before she can do it ,i said to my self what are this people out there doing how can they tell someone to go and get work exp before they can do the final day of the course ,why dont the people at tafe find their paying students the work,i think i will take this girl on and teach her about the coffee industry and barista trainning,what a waiste of time this so called coffee schools. SEE YA OE :P
