McCafe doing well with Rainforest Alliance

  Interesting, my take wold be that they are advertising their coffee and getting a sales boost. I would doubt that people are making the choice based only on the alliance brand, I would think that people are after the "stronger smoother" coffee. Just my 2c.

  im a bit suss too "the taste is the most important".... maccas have only ever been interested in the two "D"s........ Dollars and Deception (some call it advertising).. they dont use the best ingrediance in there burgers, why would they use good beans?? there are MANY great coffee shops making great coffee scattered all around aus, so why do most people go for maccas coffee???? simple, coz the man on the tv said so........ the power of advertising my 2c

  I'm sure that they've used the whole Rainforest Alliance thing as a way of raising their profile... I mean who new that McDonalds served and any kind of palatable coffee at all? Beat it up in the media enough and they're sure to lure a new younger audience to their product. P

  I totally agree with Pat They use it to raise profile You need to ask who benefits from such advertising Say I often enough and it brainwashes people If only they gave the money of just a handful of TV adds to the farmers that would probably exceed the extra amount the farmers would receive in the extra but fair price the farmers charge for RFA or Free Trade coffee KK
