After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

any intrest in copi luwak

edited January 1970 in Have your say
Hi all,

im considering importing arabica copi luwak beans from indonesia.

for those that arent familiar, Kopi Luwak (pronounced [[ch712]kopi [ch712]luwak]) or Civet coffee is coffee made from coffee berries which have been eaten by and passed through the digestive tract of the Asian Palm Civet (Paradoxurus hermaphroditus) and other related civet populations.

and anyone with any info/views regarding this type of coffee bean would be apprciated

thanx for your time all

  • I can get it locally in Brisbane Or from this site Animal Coffee http://www.animalcoffee.com/ However for my taste pallet (yours could be different) I personally think that I have tasted other coffees that are far better KK
  • I too have tried the coffee it has what I describe as prounenced ferment characters which are interesting but which hardly blew me away - worth a look even though there's a few folks who bring it in...
  • My feeling on this subject is spread thick over the web, like mouldy superchunky Peanut butter. I personally think that the place for Kopi Luwak is not so much in the threads of specialty coffee, but under some kind of culinary bigtop. In saying that- I was amazed at the amount of interest thestuff got at a recent trade show I was at. mind you- it was being given away for free!
  • sounds like a load of crap to me... ha,ha dR :)
