I have onlyjust sat down after performances in NQ and the last week of term. If I've missed this one but that's okay I'll vote for one and make sure I enter the next one.

Mmmmm, .........initially thinking of a caramel and vanilla inspired Affogato, but then I noticed the person walking the dog outside stopped next door to allow the dog to "take a moment"...........now I'm just very confused. 10/10 for creativity Nic !.

I think thats because i uploaded both of Beanflying's images as I wasnt sure which was his entry, and there has been a couple added that i put in the gallery that have yet to be added to the poll. I suggest that in future comps its best not to open voting until entries close, this avoids the issue you have raised.

Well I've been lurking on here for a little bit. Got some Tiger mountain off a sponsor and that's a really enjoyable bean :D Saw this and thought I would have a crack, I got out the Illy for this haha, first time I've used it. Not sure which is better, but this is Mexican Yeni Typica 4 days post roast, great tasting shot. Cheers, Ros

Wow! Great shots Ros (pun intended)!  Could that be a BDB900 producing that liquid gold???  How fantastic to see.  I don't suppose you could be pursueded to do a review... As you're such a dab hand with a camera also!  Really classy crystal also!  I may be just a bit jealous  8)

Thanks Nic, my original idea was to popcorn roast some beans well into RSC and dump them ion a heated moistened glass and snap the fabulous plumes.  Unfortunately the very chaffy oily robusta flared up and in dealing with it missed the shot.  This was another attempt with beans destined for chocolate coffee beans. Nowhere near as dramatic but perhaps less is more...?

It's indeed the BES900, very happy with it as I came from a PID silvia which I can't bare to sell yet as it gave me wonderful shots. The BES900 is going even better and a few friends enjoyed some long blacks from it today, I'll do a review on the machine when I get a chance I'm also keen to run some shots side by side with my silvia for a proper comparison. That shot was 20g of Mexican Yeni in a 18g Synesso and the crystal was a present to myself a while back the missus shook her head haha.

Galumay, you're absolutely right & for the record, cut-off was about 4-5 days ago, however given this was our first real comp, I relented and included several late entries [especially since a couple of them are great shots]. In future comps, we will be a lot stricter about cut-offs for entries. A

Ok guys - the process could be improved, but thanks for the great entries that ended up being posted! KK is a clear winner in the member vote and he gets one DVD; 'Admin's choice' is trickier and will go to one of the late entrants... Paranomia - I loved the hazelnut crema and the deep, rich colours. However there were a couple of late entrants which were missed - BrettH and Extraction Point's shots - the good news is I've managed to dig up a further [ie a third!] copy of Black Coffee and this will go to the winner of a future photo comp, the subject of which will remain a secret until our Gallery is fixed in around 10 days, but which however, will be perfect for both Brett and EP's shots! So congrats to KK and Paranomia - if you could PM me postal addresses please. A
