Crema 'Best' Headline competition

We at Crema have noticed a lot of pathetic headlines - where the newspaper's sub-editor may have had too many coffees, and got carried away with the puns.

Accordingly, we'd like to announce the 'best' headline competition - send us real examples and we'll publish the headline we judge as being the tackiest, or having the worst puns...

For example, in the Sun Herald a couple of weekends ago, they were talking about Vulcania, a volcano theme park in the Auvergne region of France.

Special feature in MX magazine in Melbourne on the Celebrate the Bean coffee festival last weekend...Headlines on consecutive pages were: 1.Daily Grind - 'we brew it, sip it grind it and crave it. Evonne Barry discovers Melbourne's love affair with coffee is stronger than ever' - just a shame they never update the headline! 2.Bean there, love that - now that's original!!! 3.Espress yourself - what can you say...? An advert for their Espresso Croswords It goes on to say 'However you like your coffee, this tabloid has the perfect companion for your coffee break. Who writes the headings and adverts for coffee machines??? Still trying to sort this out? "A PERFECT ESPRESSO every time with four bonus espresso cups" Not sure as to what the four cups have to do with making the purfect espresso. OK, I know that one must read the fine print, that says if you buy this coffee brewer you get a bonus of four cups. But the heading says..... JD

P Sorry I missed the 3.00pm call. Was out all day and just got in, sipping on a cab-merl. Samples of the 03 p-know arrived yesterday. Will do a tasting over the weekend and let you know. Lars Congratulations once again. The Tampers are well made and produced in Australia. I am not sure if you realise that the handle screws off and that different size bases are available. Admin It was a lot of fun. Happy to do it all over again. Any ideas for another competition????? JD
