After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.

Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.

Milk,whats going on??

edited January 1970 in Have your say
Does anyone out there get the feeling that milk is not the same anymore and that coffee tastes different with different milk??????

  • could be the time of year.... the proteans in the milk change twice a year, at teh change of seasons...
  • OE Milk changes often and for no apparent reason, at least not to me.  Here are the reasons I have been told: cow food excessive exposure to fluoros in the shopping centre shelf handling and distribution problems
  • Hi all, I have to agree with ristretto.  You can go through days where the milk cant get any better, perfect silkiness...then the next day the milk doesnt froth, you cant stretch no matter how hard you try. The seasons have a lot to do with the end result. Also, I have found that cafes that use the organic milk have trouble frothing the milk to the same consistancy to that of a cafe that uses the regular stuff. Try another brand of milk temporarily and see if that helps. Or if worse comes to worse... buy a cow and make your own milk  ;D Chicksta
  • I heard it was because the cows had sore nipples :o ;D
  • I always thought it was due to the fatty acids in the milk and the lypolysis of the fat and sugar ratio...
