After the old forum software breaking in a way that we were unable to fix, we've migrated the site to a new platform.
Some elements aren't working as we'd hoped - some avatars didn't survive the transition, and we're still having issues with attachments that weren't added as inline images, but we're hoping to have that all sorted out soon.
'Beware the withdrawals...
As some may know I was quite unwell last week. What started out as a headcold with minor headaches and nausea quickly escalated into something that had my head feeling like wild horses were dragging ploughs through every inch of my brain.
It was pain like none I've ever experienced in a headache - not just one point and one type of pain, but multiple points of different pain types, the whole gamut of headache varieties.
I'd been unable to keep even water down the first day and just assumed that the headaches of the second day were part of the illness....
But I wonder. On day three I still wasn't able to eat, but I was able to drink coffee. I woke with a headache, had a coffee and shortly thereafter my headache dissipated and didn't return.
So I now think that the majority of pain from day 2 came not from the cold but the withdrawal symptoms!
Beware withdrawal - perhaps it's best to maintain your coffee consumption when sick, if the lack of it is worse than having it!
