Thanks Kev 2.6meters of lane is going to be the bench top, put the first coat of varnish on today after much sanding and destroying a saw blade hitting all the hidden screw nails :-[ squaring it up. BrettH - drugs are bad, just put your head in a bag of freshly roasted coffee and breath in deep, an instant relax. Chester

Pfft... Ya saw is soft.. Tungsten eh! Drugs ARE bad but they're keeping me alive (Addison's). They reckon the excessive amount of coffee I drank masked the effects of Addison's thus making my diagnosis more prolonged... I called it self-curing (both senses of the phrase)! Inhalation is a good back-up!

Thats adrenal type stuff isn't it, low blood pressure etc, can see where coffee could mask it. Do the drugs and enjoy the coffee, all in moderation.

Hi Lacehim Yep social at my place once I get everything up and running. Monday the roaster is off to get its new gas train and software, about 2 weeks before I get her back. In that time I will have started the shed build, well the slab should be down (as long as I can get council to work with me). About 6 weeks in total and it should all be up and running, thats the plan. Then, open crema day/weekend bring your green and brown play on the roaster play on the slayer :thumb: Chester

Thanks Michael Hopefully the process isn't to much trouble. Did go to Bunnings today and buy all the stuff to do a temporary fit, so slayer should be up and running by Friday. Can't leave a new toy just sitting there teasing me ;D. @Lacehim, roasting some nice beans to cover the roaster down time, check with c-man, he might share? Chester

Already got my order in with C-Man. I got him to organise me 500gm Zambia terranova (I liked this previously when I roasted it) and to treat myself 500gm Ninety Plus - Ethiopian Nekisse

Hi BrettH Was a concern when we looked into them after all the stories of high maintenance on versions 1 and 2. Version 3 is no longer mechanical and is good for a million cycles, the machines are super simple inside and lay out is very clean. Any good tec would be able to service them. They also come with a brilliant online owners manual with video links to setting up the machine through to servicing step by step, really well done. Add in a well laid out service schedule outline, and I can't see any problems. I will take some photos of the internals to show the clean design. Chester

Very cool! Also, I do like your colour very much but it wouldn't be my first choice. Photos would be much appreciated.

Didn't actually choose the colour myself (@ BrettH). This was the machine and grinder CWE customed for their MICE stand and was set up pulling coffees for those interested in Slayer machines. On the last day I asked what the deal was on the "used" machine, they offered it at a reduced package price that was to good to say no too. So green black it was. :thumb: Council have been and looked at my site and given me the in principal approval to squeeze the new shed onto the block, so hopefully the paperwork will go through tomorrow and we can start moving forward. ;D :coffee2: ;D Chester

You have bragging rights on any forum and with any Cafe' setup as well. That set up along with your sophisticated palate and desire for the unusual will make for an excellent coffee shop/roaster y someday. I am just happy Chester is up this way for a change, not everything good has to be in Melbourne/Sydney, it will be really nice to have access to slayer shots and 90+ beans Pressure profiling has always fascinated me. C-
