Woken up early this morning By the squawking of many many parrots  So I got the camera out and went as close as I could without scaring them These are Corella's on my across the road neighbours trees, These birds started coming only a few years ago they come regularly now to feed They are feeding on a pine tree full of round, marble sized seeds Please forgive the camera as it was zooming at its limit KK

Yes I had a couple of cyprus trees outside a place I used to rent. The sulphur-crested cockies loved the seeds but would take a bite out of one and drop the rest...on to the iron roof...directly above my bedroom...at 5AM in the freaking morning. These are Little Corellas fwiw. I've seen a small flock of their long-billed cousins near my place in Sydney. They are usually an inland bird but I think the drought in recent years has driven them closer to the coast and they've now discovered a more ready food supply.

These little fellows are messy eaters as well 4 trees covered with approx 50 birds  I was told that they live 80 to 100 years I am sure that they will visit again as more seeds develop KK

Morning Admin, While I haven't posted here have been watching the thread with interest, I agree, some very nice shots. My feeling is leave the thread as is, have seen galleries and other special interest threads split off into their own area's on other forums and traffic invariably slows dramatically, this thread seems to be maintaining quite a bit of interest, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

Here's a relic, just a 200 tonner dump truck, on display at Newman, a town in the Pilbara area of WA. Current machinery are now based on 400 tonners, complete with air conditioning. Some things here are B I G, not just the state. Most of the blokes here would not know a difference between a macchiato or an espresso, and they don't drink a wide range of beers, but they drink lots of it, and they do drink iced coffees by the buckets. ::)    Gary at G

Well the thread is for photos from anywhere and everywhere. My trailer tyre from 1b min ago. It it's actually worse than the picture. The worn side is over one centimetre greater diameter than the other side. Ready to blow any second.

washed a dog yesterday. "Just a wash and a brush, she might need a light trim around the bum as edge gas a few knots" Funnily enough, I only found one knot. attached a photo of dog and the knot I brushed out in foreground.

those ears were each one solid putrid smelly knot. sadly I deal with this pretty much every day. after though, Sammy was very happy. Got to feel better without all that crud around your face. The rest of him was just as bad.
