If you haven't already, contact your local paper and see if they will do a short piece on your business. Local papers quite like to publish info on new businesses. If course they will also want you to advertise with them... My local council also runs an online business directory, doesn't hurt to check with them too. You might want to offer a 'free' deal coupon such as buy one coffee and cake before 11 am, get one free.  Brings in extra custom, at a time chosen by you and is not actually costing as much as a completely free offer. Plenty other options, but the idea is to build consistent business without costing you too much.

Thanks for your concern...and yes actually we were pretty crapped off. Needless to say the dogs had all been repeatedly warned over a considerable period NOt to chase the chickens, and the chickens had all been warned NOt to go into the yard, but its just another example of the best way to get something to happen is to tell everyone NOT to do it. We had been in Sydney for the day and upon our return, we found that the dogs had lovingly brought him to the back door for us to find.....a prize for us as the pack leaders ! Geez did they get that one wrong. We actually thought there was a possibility he would pull through and did everything we could. He seemed to gather strength over a period, unfortunately he expired sometime on Saturday arvo. We are currently arranging a replacement for Stanley, a roosters work is never done. Can anyone suggest a name for the new fella in the hen house? Speaking of getting it wrong......I remember 3 years ago when our breeding dog lovingly brought a tiger snake back up to the house....snake between his teeth, all proud of himself, the snake vanquished. And 3 bottles of antivenine later he didnt seem quite so happy any more......

:thumb: Very kind of you Brett and Derrilex. Had quite a few comments my coffee doesn't need sugar when they came back for a second cup. My milk is heated to between 60-65 and pedantic about having clean portafilters and shower screens. They mentioned other cafes in boganville serve up bitter and overhot coffees. That's a "hellish" looking oven there UNM. Someone downstairs can't spell Fiona. It's a good photo because that misty shot gives the area around the top of the oven a reddish aura. Don't be fooled by the angelic looks of this family member. Behind that blond look is a complex mind who can give you a look that makes you know what kind of mood she's in or what she wants. You can tell from the second photo that she thinks she's too dishevilled for a photo shoot. She's almost human.. Would be nice to be a dog. No need to wash dishes, pay bills or lose sleep thinking about work. A dog can even reach their genitals with their tongue...  :angel:

As a few of the members here donated some money to my ride  :thumb: thanks Kevohere, Jonty, Derrilex, and KK with money raised going to the Smith Family charity. A few shots of the ride follow, overall the day had 17,000 riders out there in Melbourne which is a great effort. Our start line was about 2000'ish in number. For info I survived the 100km ride which we knocked over in 4 hours 40 minutes of ride time at 21-22 km/hr and apart from one Costa Rican Basmati plunger to start the day was completed without the aid of drugs  :angel: The Team [attachimg=1] Before the Start [attachimg=2] Post 100km [attachimg=3]

New Cock on The Block. Thankyou to those that suggested names. As this one is a Leghorn cross, it has been decided to call him Foghorn. Hard to photograph clearly as he keeps darting around....not yet used to us....and only taken with telephone camera.

I do occasionally work in spite of trying to avoid it  ;D Made nearly 70 kites in 2 session with some Grade 2 kids on camp. Busy and semi chaotic but the reward is in the flying bit [attachimg=1]
