Catch of the arvo, a nice fat blue tongue in the bushes. Called the dogs off just in time. Lucky it wasnt a tiger snake. Lulu gets out...sleeps it off after being caught out. Cuz the cat conducts afternoon class, but noone's listening.

First progeny of Foghorn pictured above. All males will be dinner and broth, females will be rotated into the hen house and help lessen the burden of having to buy more birds on an ongoing basis due to attrition from fox killings (they free range during the day / as do the foxes)......makes eggs very expensive due to "hidden costs".

Black cockatoos. Half an hour ago. The sun is going down and has cunningly positioned itself behind the trees, so unfortunately hard to do anything about the shading this side of the subjects (or....I am only a rank amateur). They come round occasionally and they've been here 2 afternoons in a row. Up to 4 birds can be seen together in some of the photos, but as they are resized for the web, some clarity has been lost. 300mm lens also hard to keep still without tripod.....Hard to tell at that distance but the wing span will be more than a meter as these are big birds.

Start with a Licenced Plumber, who fits 3 x 90 degree bends in one horizontal plane (for "neatness") Add a possible fourth 90 degree bend at bottom of the down pipe from where it runs to storm water connection (& possibly a fifth 90 degree bend...have to dig it up to check, as cant trust this licenced "tradesman") Add the requisite Council approval at inspection ??? And... Water pours straight over the guttering instead of going the downpipe. :doh: Way to go ! More serious than it seems, there is no town water here and the water tank relies on this sytem to fill. A simple fix using 3 x 45 degree bends instead, have to wait and see what happens next time it rains.....

I forgot FC, you guys cant even touch stormwater legally down there. Anyone can do it up here which is a good thing as most plumbers can't quite grasp the notion that water flows downhill and takes the path of least resistance. Oh, they are 88 's BTW :rofl:
